Glossier's Balm Dotcom Is the Real Dry-Skin Deal
A life-saving salve for your skin and lips that actually delivers.
When I tell people I’m from Phoenix, Arizona, the first question I get is always the same: Isn’t it super hot there? Yes, yes it is — but it’s a dry heat. Thanks to said heat, my lips tend to be dry, as well. Living in the desert for nearly your entire life will do that to a person. There have only seemed to be two solutions to combat this issue, which are to drink a ton of water and keep a good lip balm on deck. Enter Glossier.
WHAT IS IT: Glossier Balm Dotcom.
WHY IT’S WORTH THE HYPE: Glossier has entered cult-like status in the makeup arena, and I’ve converted into being a loyal minion. The ethos behind Emily Weiss’ brand is simple: skin-first beauty that’s minimal, easy and effective. The Balm Dotcom is a “do-everything” skin salve that hydrates the lips but can also be applied to other areas of dry skin that need some moisturizing TLC. Its ingredients include antioxidants, fruit extract, beeswax and castor seed oil. The original formula is everything, but the flavored versions — rose, mint, cherry and now coconut — are just as essential. Trust me, I’ve tried and fell in love with them all. Dry lips be damned.
