New 'Fantastic Beasts' Comic-Con Trailer Gives Best Look Yet at Magical Creatures
Also includes a closer look at a never-before-seen secret wizarding society.
The stream of new trailers being released at Comic-Con has been a steady one, and we’re definitely not complaining. Among the comic book festivities comes another reel of the highly anticipated Harry Potter spin-off: J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In the latest trailer, we receive our best look yet at some of the magical creatures to come. Although this latest clip is much darker than the earlier visuals we’ve seen thus far, the overall atmosphere of the forthcoming film is one that Potter fans will surely be excited for.
Set against a 1920s-era magical New York City, Newt Scamandar (Eddie Redmayne) has inadvertently set a number of magical fauna loose on the city. Tasked with tracking down the creatures is wizard Percival Graves (Colin Farrell), who seems to be a part of a mysterious (even for wizarding standards) secret society that reaches back hundreds of centuries. Fantastic Beasts is slated for a November 18 theatrical release.
