FILA Black Recalls '90s Hip-Hop and R&B for 2016 Fall/Winter Collection
A modern twist on the styles made famous by the likes of LL Cool J, Tupac and TLC.
FILA has been experiencing a renaissance of sorts lately, infiltrating the upper echelons of streetwear by appearing in Gosha Rubchinskiy’s latest 2017 spring/summer collection. The heritage Italian brand (now owned by a South Korean company) now unveils its 2016 fall/winter Black Line, which pays homage to the 1980’s and ’90s. Famously worn by such icons as LL Cool J, Tupac and TLC, FILA now offers a modern twist on its classic golden era styles. Utilizing a vibrant palette of bright colors and bold graphics, FILA Black Line has created a nostalgic collection for both women and men. A dynamic mix of silhouettes includes such pieces as dungarees, body-con dresses and accessories. Athletic elements are also incorporated into the designs, which perfectly reflect a sports-obsessed era. The new collection is available from select UK stockists and will feature drops from July through to September.
