FILA Is Making a Comeback with Reworks of Its Classic Sneakers
The UK launch also includes modernized slides.
For those who have been following the heritage Italian brand lately, you might have noticed that FILA (which is now owned by a South Korean operation) has been going through a revival of sorts. Just in time for summer, FILA now brings its retro aesthetic–first made popular during the 80’s and 90’s–into a contemporary context. Soon arriving in the UK, the sportswear label will be expanding its selection of apparel with a roster of newly updated sneakers and slides. The forthcoming range will include classics such as the Original Fitness, constructed in lush cream-colored suede. Showcasing the dynamic program of revamped footwear, the campaign was shot entirely on film by emerging photographer-filmmaker BAFIC. The collection will launch July 19 at select UK stockists.
