Filling Pieces Explores Iceland for 2016 Fall/Winter "Srefidensi // Independence" Lookbook
The latest collection boasts 450 new styles.
Celebrating its progression through the years to a globally recognized independent brand, Amsterdam-based contemporary footwear label Filling Pieces has titled its 2016 fall/winter lookbook “Srefidensi // Independence,” referring to the South American country of Surinam where the brand’s founder, Guillaume Philibert comes from. Shot in Iceland by Lotte van Raalte, the lookbook features 14 new silhouettes and 3 custom Filling Pieces sole innovations, which adds up to a total of 450 styles for the collection, reflecting the brand’s new freedom to create without boundaries.
Some of the key design highlights from the collection include the iconic Low Top, updates with new silhouette with PVC elements, neoprene sock liners, heat seamed stitching, layering, stitch & return techniques. The sneakers are made with different iterations of materials such as premium Italian leather, suede and nubuck in both classic and distinct colourways, complete with uniquely embroidered neoprene uppers and innovative lacing techniques.
