Vetements' 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Features Collaborations with 18 Different Brands
The highly anticipated multi-label collection includes Levi’s, CDG, Champion and yes, Juicy Couture.
After Vetements teased a 2017 spring/summer collection to feature collaborations with an astonishing 18 different labels, the range finally made its runway showing at the Galeries Lafayette department store yesterday. Featuring high profile labels such as Carhartt, Levi’s, Canada Goose, Eastpak, Reebok, Alpha Industries, COMME des GARÇONS, Champion, Manolo Blahnik and Dr. Martens, just to name a few, Demna Gvasalia managed to make the collection look cohesive despite the aesthetic differences among the brands. The Vetements’ design team deconstructed iconic products such as bomber jackets, heels, overalls and suit jackets and gave them the Vetements treatment, resulting in oversized and asymmetrical silhouettes that are signature to the brand. The collection not only shows that a multi-label collaboration can actually work, but it also proves that the creative collective led by Gvasalia has the ability to turn everyday staples into high fashion pieces. Check out the astounding collection in the gallery above.
