Structure and Simplicity Unite for WALTZ's 2016 Fall/Winter Collection
The minimal aesthetic expertly achieved.
Restraint is not something too commonplace in the top trends currently. Fashion is overcome with logomania, oversized silhouettes and of all-around extra. WALTZ however knows the power of simplicity in all forms — lines, fabrics, style. With her fall/winter collection, Danielle Colen exercises her practice in approaching structure and tailoring, and their relation to the female form, and yet still drawing influence from menswear. Pinafores, drop-shoulders and tapered trousers make this clear. While the rust and midnight-colored palette are rich for this season, the pieces themselves are meant to transcend and be worn anytime.
