adidas Creates Its First Pair of 3D-Printed Sneakers for Olympic-Winning Athletes
In celebration of the athletes’ impressive achievements.
For the Rio Olympic Games, adidas has sponsored its athletes with a tailor-made, 3D-printed shoe. The groundbreaking Three Stripes shoe is designed especially for a select group of medal-winning athletes. The Primeknit pair is actually the brand’s first ever 3D-printed running shoe. With its engineered three-dimensional web structure, the sneaker does not require the typical process of gluing or stitching. In addition, the laces will come in either gold, silver or bronze, symbolizing the athlete’s impressive achievements.
As of right now, there is no information regarding whether or not this special pair will be released. However, you can browse the gallery above to check out the sleek design of the sneaker.
