Converse Taps John Varvatos to Design a Premium Coated Leather Chuck Taylor All Star II
Inspired by the designer’s hometown, Motor City.
After recent collaborations with Stussy and UNITED ARROWS, Converse taps menswear designer John Varvatos to create a special version of the Chuck Taylor All Star II this time around. Paying homage to the rich musical history of his hometown Detriot, Varvatos’ rework of the sneaker features premium coated leather with rock and roll-inspired crackled finish. Besides, Nike‘s Lunarlon insole cushioning has been applied to the shoe the enhance comfort for the wearer. To further increase comfort and durability, the shoe has employed Perforated microsuede and fabric for its lining. Rounding things off is a translucent rubber outsole designed for durable traction.
Available in both an off-white and a black colorway, you can now purchase the high top shoe for $150 USD at select Converse retailers and online.
