Gabrielle Union & Faith Haslem Are Opening a Sneaker Store Just for Women
The duo definitely aren’t planning on taking the typical hyped sneakers route, though.
In a recent interview with The Coveteur, Faith Rein Haslem (her husband is Miami Heat NBA star Udonis Haslem) revealed that she and Gabrielle Union (apart from being a kickass actress, she is also often seen court-side supporting her Chicago Bulls husband Dwayne Wade) are currently working on opening a women’s sneaker store together. “Gabrielle Union and I are working on a women’s shoe store,” Haslem divulges. “It’s in the very early works, but we’re definitely taking steps in planning. Baby steps, but that’s definitely the goal.” Tentatively dubbed Borrowed From the Boys, the duo are aiming to transcend the typical selection of hyped sneakers and are aiming to take a more high-end route. “It’s going to be a concept store/women’s sneaker store, but with a fashion angle,” she said. “It’s not necessarily about having Jordans per se, it’s going to be more the fashion-y thing. I think nice sneakers are a mainstay at this point.” Although details are still sparse regarding the project, Haslem says the store will be located in Miami. Stay tuned here for more details as the story develops.
