Something's Awfully Wrong in HBO's Eerie 'Westworld' Trailer

Remember, they’re not real…

Welcome to Westworld, where nothing is really what it seems. Based on a 1970s sci-fi western film and book by Michael Crichton, HBO shares a new, full-length trailer for the series created by Jonathon Nolan and J.J. Abrams.

Anthony Hopkins stars as Dr. Robert Ford, who reveals the world he created of robots and cowboys — but this is no utopia. There’s a disturbance in Ford’s universe following a glitch in the system, and havoc between humans and artificial intelligence is imminent. Thandie Newton, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood and Ed Harris are also seen among the cast in the above video, which you can watch before Westworld premieres October 2.
