Taraji P. Henson and Her Zealous Girl Gang Are NASA Geniuses in 'Hidden Figures'
Meet the women who helped the first American astronaut make a complete orbit of the Earth.
Upcoming drama film Hidden Figures has just unveiled a spirited and light-hearted trailer. Directed by Theodore Melfi, the movie tells the true story of African-American mathematics genius Katherine G. Johnson (played by Taraji P. Henson) and her co-workers from NASA, Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe). The trio was in fact responsible for one of history’s greatest operations, namely assisting astronaut John Glenn to make a complete orbit of the Earth. Set to original music by Pharrell Williams, the film also features other cast members such as Kirsten Dunst and Kevin Costner.
