Kanye Gives Epic VMAs Speech and Drops "Fade" Music Video
Press play on both here.
Kanye West managed to steal the MTV Video Music Awards spotlight yet again — as to be expected when the show granted him four minutes to do whatever he pleased on stage. That four minutes actually turned out to be a nearly seven-minute speech plus the release of a new music video, “Fade.”
Prior to the premiere of the video for track from The Life of Pablo, Yeezy joked about his notorious past appearance at the VMAs — you know, the one that went on to make Taylor Swift “Famous.” After admitting that much-talked about NSFW visual would probably lose to Beyoncé, he touched on his conversation with Swift along with the controversy of having Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Ray J and more appear naked in bed together, saying, “We came over in the same boat now we all in the same bed.”
West used his moment to address the violence in his Chicago hometown as well as the importance of having role models. Watch all of that above, and then see a preview of “Fade” starring G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor below before catching the full visual on Tidal.
