Rooney Mara Helps Dev Patel Find Home in Upcoming Drama 'Lion'

Based on a heart-wrenching true story.

Director Garth Davis has unveiled the first trailer of his upcoming drama entitled Lion. Starring Dev Patel, Rooney Mara and Nicole Kidman, the film is based on the true story of a young Indian man who is determined to search for his real family after many years of separation. While Patel has been cast to star as the film’s protagonist Saroo Brierley, Mara plays the role of Lucy, a girl who helps Saroo find home with the use of Google Earth. As for Kidman, she will star as an Australian woman who has adopted Saroo from an orphanage.

Scheduled to hit theaters on November 25, you can preview the touching story of Lion by watching the trailer above.
