Microsoft is about to introduce a new holographic feature to all Windows 10 PCs. As Microsoft’s Windows and Devices group’s Executive VP Terry Myerson reveals during the Intel Developer’s Forum, Windows 10 will see an update featuring the Windows Holographic technology next year. Dubbed as a “mixed reality” experience, Windows Holographic allows users to multi-task with both 2D and 3D apps. According to Myerson, compatible PCs includes tiny Intel NUCs with embedded Iris graphics, as well as the latest Microsoft PCs. The new function will have optimization for PCs and laptops, and will also be compatible with Project Alloy.
