See Tove Lo Go Full-On 'Gone Girl' in Her "Cool Girl" Music Video
Equal parts creepy, crazy — and cool, of course.
Tove Lo didn’t just reinterpret Gillian Flynn’s psychological thriller Gone Girl for a song — there’s now an accommodating trippy video. The singer transforms into the “Cool Girl,” except, as we know from the movie adaptation, she’s actually not very chill at all. Things get a little creepy: there’s a choreographed dance number that occurs on top of a car and a see-through coffin, a burned-down hotel room, and even an Amy Dunne monologue —
“Pain and pleasure go hand in hand they say. But no one mentions that pain is just a path to more pleasure. No more fear, you know?”
The above video is part of an upcoming short film titled “Fairy Dust Chapter 1,” which features music from her sophomore album Lady Wood. Watch the menacing scenes go down above.
