Balmain Explores Tropical Forests for an Exotic 2017 Spring/Summer Collection
Featuring seductive cut-outs, snakeskin prints and more.
Olivier Rousteing has presented a seductive 2017 spring/summer collection for Balmain at Paris Fashion Week. Consisting of 80 runway looks in total, the brand’s latest collection features an abundance of cut-outs and thigh-high slits on various silhouettes. Inspired by the tropical jungle, the range sees a handful of earthy-colored pieces with exotic snakeskin prints. Also highlighted in the show are see-through blouses, intricate knit dresses, stripy night gowns and more. Speaking of his latest creations, Rousteing explains:
The Balmain Army has shed its armor. Whatever I do, even if I cover up my girls, people can say it’s vulgar. But this is what it is. I think it’s really chic, really French. It’s Paris how I see it.
