Claire Barrow Collaborates with Eloise Parry on Subversive Fashion Short "Move On"
Featuring the British designer’s 2016 fall/winter collection.
British designer Claire Barrow has recently teamed up with photographer Eloise Parry to create an intriguing short film entitled “Move On.” Styled by Haley Wollens, the video features pieces from Barrow’s 2016 fall/winter range, which the designer describes as “a study of historical dress.” Speaking of the concept behind her time-bending collection, Barrow explains: “Instead of looking at reference images, I thought about the fashion images I see on Instagram and how they get embedded into my subconscious. So, I designed a collection that mixed multiple time periods at once, rather than just focusing on one, and tried to create something chaotic and modern.”
While London Fashion Week is just around the corner, Barrow will not be staging her own show. With the release of ”Move On”, however, the designer hopes to present her creative work in a different format. “I hope that by doing this,” says Barrow, “I’ll be able to work more freely and creatively which I think will make my work better and allow me to explore other mediums.”
