The COS x Agnes Martin Limited Edition Collection Is a Beautiful Work of Art

The Swedish label teams up with NYC’s Guggenheim Museum for a tasteful range.

Swedish label COS has collaborated with NYC’s Guggenheim Museum on a limited edition capsule inspired by the works of abstract artist Agnes Martin. As one of the most influential American painters of the 20th century, Martin was best known for her monochrome, hard-edge artwork. The launch of the apparel collection will coincide with the museum’s upcoming exhibition of the artist, which showcases art pieces she produced from the 1950’s to the 2000’s. Paying tribute to the artist’s compositions, the range includes pieces crafted with natural fabrics like canvas and linen. Among the mix are loose-fit shirts, thermals, and coats featuring striped and checked patterns.

The COS x Agnes Martin collection is set to drop on October 7 at the Guggenheim Museum Store and at select COS locations. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Agnes Martin Foundation. In addition, the art exhibition will be open to the public from October 7 until January 11, 2017.
