Diesel Black Gold's 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Is Not What You Would Expect
The usually tough-as-nails label takes on a very different tone this season.
Although Diesel Black Gold has typically been known for its tough-as-nails aesthetic, filled with leather, buckles and ripped denim, creative director Andreas Melbostad takes the 2017 spring/summer collection in a vastly different direction this season. Shown at Milan Fashion Week, the latest program is filled with Romantic undertones. Short baby doll dresses and lace overlays are colored with an assortment of pastel and neutral tones. A selection of delicate silhouettes seem to retain the harder edges of Diesel Black Gold’s biker aesthetic though, with some pieces constructed with metallic lace-up details and other chrome-like accents.
