During New York Fashion Week, Jeremy Scott has unveiled a whimsical, neon-colored 2017 spring/summer collection that makes it very hard to look away. Staying true to his playful aesthetic, the designer’s latest presentation once again sees bold patterns and vibrant hues. The new range is hugely influenced by the idea of sex, which is revealed by its heavy use of materials like latex, as well as the grainy porno prints and peepholes that can be seen across multiple silhouettes. More explicitly, several pieces read the words “Rated X” and “HOT HOT HOT.”
In addition, Scott also debuts a number of eyewear and apparel pieces designed in collaboration with Alain Mikli. The iconic black and white Damier frame is featured as a print on some of the designs. Inspired by a vintage frame from his personal archives, Scott has also teamed up with the eyewear brand to roll out a new pair of sunglasses. The show is rounded off with a lineup of structural, sequinned looks. With their sleek bob wigs and flamboyant outfits, the models look almost as if they are real-life Barbie dolls.
