OAK's Inaugural NYFW Show Is All About Self-Expression and Self-Love
The NYC label’s 2017 spring/summer collection is inspired by Sade and Sinead O’Connor.
NYC-based label OAK recently made its debut at New York Fashion Week. For its 2017 spring/summer collection, the cult-favorite brand draws inspiration from the late 1980s and early 1990s, a time period when self-expression and self-love reigned. The brand pays tribute to two female music legends of that time, Sade and Sinéad O’Connor, by fusing feminine silhouettes and masculine elements for its latest designs. Among the mix are slouchy cardigans, leather jackets, oversized hoodies, jumpsuits, low-waisted trousers and more. Browse the gallery above to see it for yourself.
