Count on Virgil Abloh to bring the cool season after season. The designer’s quickly become an expert in “making moments,” and just ahead of OFF-WHITE’s Spring/Summer 2017 show, it’s time to prepare for his latest. As seen in the above campaign starring Chiara Capitani, Abloh’s Paris Fashion Week collection will include the Binder Clip Bag, and we’re calling it now — it’s covet-worthy.
Just as Abloh’s demonstrated in his ability to elevate streetwear, the standard leather cross body satchel becomes anything but with his touch. Details like a gold binder clip closure and repurposing of the brand’s “TIE DOWN” industrial belt as a purse strap make the classic unconventional and reinforce the Working Girl-inspired “BUSINESS WOMAN” theme of the collection. Presented in red, white and black, the bag is constructed from 100 percent calf leather and will be sold see-now-buy-now-style.
“It’s the first offering of handbags that demonstrates the OFF-WHITE personality through design, quality and visual language,” the designer says. “We’re living in a time where things are rapidly changing, I want our consumers to not only be a part of our show but have a chance to grab something they covet immediately after seeing it.”
