The R&B artist explores Manhattan with street style photographer Tommy Ton.
For the 2016 fall/winter season, Michael Kors has tapped R&B artist Solange Knowles to be the face of its latest campaign. Lensed by Jack & Jil‘s Tommy Ton in Manhattan’s West Village and Greenwich Village, the campaign entitled “The Walk” is the brand’s first ever street style campaign. The songstress is seen dressed in a faux fur green jacket paired with an elegant neck tie blouse and black leather pants. In addition to the images pictured above, the campaign also includes a Wednesday Agency-directed fashion short.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Kors sings high praises for Solange as “a true trendsetter.” As the designer explains: “Solange is strong and passionate and not afraid to share her opinion with the world — and that type of confidence always makes an impact … I love how she takes some of our pieces and makes them her own.”
