Her sophomore album is post-breakup liberation.

After much anticipation, BANKS presents The Altar. Whereas 2014’s Goddess felt like a heartbreaking stir of emotions, this sophomore album is the singer’s self-realization: she’s empowered and has found her own voice. We heard her come into her own with the LP’s first single “Fuck With Myself” but that message is reiterated throughout. Hear BANKS relieve herself of toxicity in songs like “Trainwreck,” “Judas” or “Weaker Girl”:
