Christopher Kane Continues to Use Crocs for 2017 Pre-Fall Lookbook

The designer stands his ground in spite of critics.

After sparking scathing reactions from fashion critics everywhere following the use of Crocs on his 2017 spring/summer runway show, Christopher Kane admirably stood his ground on the designs. Now, Kane returns with a refined 2017 pre-fall collection and yes, Crocs are still used alongside the styles. Although the silhouettes include polished cuts such as elongated blazers and pleated long skirts, the pieces still retain a youthful edge. In addition to the use of bold, recognizable motifs such as flowers and happy faces, modernist-inspired sketches are found on floor-length dresses and long coats.
