Givenchy Predicts the Future with 2017 Pre-Fall Collection
Riccardo Tisci heads to Copenhagen for the brand’s latest lookbook.
Having already explored outer space for its 2017 spring/summer campaign video, Givenchy now continues its forward-looking theme for its 2017 pre-fall collection. Inspired by designs observed in futuristic architectural environments, the luxury fashion house heads to Copenhagen for the set of its latest range. The classic elegance of the VEGA concert hall — a 1956 structure devised by Vilhem Lauritzen — perfectly contrasts Riccardo Tisci’s off-kilter vision of post-modern fashion, while the Hotel Astoria balances an urban edge.
Subtly masculine silhouettes appear alongside flamboyant pieces that play with a diverse range of various textures. From pastel-hued furs to frilly layers, the eclectic collection also includes streetwear-inspired outerwear such as a soccer jersey-style fur sweater and sporty jacket. Rounding off the collection is a selection of Givenchy’s star-studded denim wardrobe. You can check out the full women’s selection of Givenchy’s 2017 pre-fall program in the gallery above.
