For those who love a good horror we have one that might make you change your mind – so we’ve heard. RAW is a French horror that debuted at Toronto Film Festival where it was said paramedics had to be called to the screening.
The Julia Ducornau-directed movie is about a veterinary student and strict vegetarian who must suppress her growing “appetite” – that happens to be cannibalism. It starts with a rabbit kidney she was made to eat during a hazing ritual and develops into a more animalistic and erotic urge.
RAW already garnered multiple awards including the Fipresci Prize at Cannes and Best First Feature Film at BFI London Film Festival. It drops in theaters on March 10. Watch the trailer above and try to hold onto your sanity.
