Chanel's Spring/Summer 2018 Presentation Was a Plastic Affair
Style preserved.
Chanel held its Spring/Summer 2018 presentation in Paris’ Grand Palais. To set the stage, Karl Lagerfeld constructed a faux waterfall to emulate the French countryside. Led by Kaia Gerber, models traipsed down the runway in plastic rain hats, bags and boots paired with his signature tweed outfits.
The garments reference the house’s archives, mixing traditional silhouettes with modern materials. Lagerfeld continues to experiment with the profile of the new Chanel woman adding daring futuristic accents wherever he sees fit. Peruse our favorite looks above.
