Shown during Paris Fashion Week.
Following successful collaborations with The North Face and a Parisian pop-up in partnership with colette, Japanese label Sacai impressed with yet another stellar collection for Spring/Summer 2018.
The collection consisted of draped dresses, blouses and pants in an array of different materials, from the practical plaids and camo prints to delicate spring-ready florals. The brand’s key selling point was prominent throughout and designer Chitose Abe‘s impressive technical cuts featured on every piece. Garments were spliced together in innovative yet functional ways – dresses were given wraparound shirt detailing across the middle and pants were given a new lease of life, with edgy contrasting panels at the knees. The seamless construction between stiff and lightweight textiles culminated in beautifully structured silhouettes.
