Stella McCartney's Spring/Summer 2018 Show Was An Eco-Chic Dream
One step closer to sustainability.
Stella McCartney‘s Spring/Summer 2018 show was a true nod to her eco-friendly presence in the fashion community.
The collection was, in true Stella fashion, a play on feminine silhouettes with long skirts, dresses and off-shoulder tops. All garments were eye-catching and fun, which created a beautiful mix of color and design. From oversize overalls in earthy tones to bright-green denim, it was clear that the mix of textures and materials was intentional. The designer is known for her eco commitments, using faux leather and sustainable and cruelty-free fabric in all her collections, and this time around she introduced a new material that she referred to as “Skin-Free Skin.” Her Paris Fashion Week show proved that fashion can be both sophisticated and better for the world at the same time, and if that wasn’t enough, the invites to her show came as recyclable bin liners with the Stella McCartney logo printed on them.
