A glimmering nod to the ’50s.
Jun Takahashi’s label UNDERCOVER presented yet another captivating collection for Spring/Summer 2018 during Paris Fashion Week.
The nostalgic ’50s feel was evident in everything from the retro hairdos and headpieces to the full-circle skirts and prim mini handbags. Cindy Sherman was the obvious inspiration, her self portrait work featured heavily on the pieces, as did embellished adornments of black cats, lips and shiny red apples. Models walked down the runway holding hands in pairs and combined with the oversized jewelry and uber-glittery eyelids, the collection felt like an extravagant game of dress-up.
