Exploring the concepts of athleticism and modernity, heritage luxury brand Valentino seamlessly elevates two worlds that have become increasingly interconnected for its Resort 2018 collection. Using rich tones of emerald and scarlet, the refined palette creates an elegant contrast with the sports-inspired silhouettes at the core of the label’s Resort 2018 designs.
Reaching out to a new generation of tastemakers and creators for its new program, Valentino now taps rising star Lala Takahashi for an exclusive Resort 2018 video campaign that celebrates both femininity and female strength. Joined by a gang of Hong Kong’s very own cool girls, Lala et al serve as a powerful voice for this generation’s leading females. Prior to this campaign, Lala had collaborated with the fashion house as the face of its Resort 2018 Accessories campaign, perfectly epitomizing Valentino’s ethos of youth and urban cool.
At the brand’s core is a desire to breathe life into the endless renditions of possibilities and identity, manifested through the temporary environments heavily influenced by Valentino’s sports-inspired Resort 2018 collection. Within the spaces, the brand will also be offering a limited collection that will include an array of sports elements such as basketball, yoga mat, caps and more. As a unique take on the worlds of artisanal culture and contemporary sports colliding, Valentino’s interpretation carves out a new vibrant space within the realm of fashion.
