Telfar Clemens Wins the 2017 CFDA/'Vogue' Fashion Fund Prize

The annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Dinner took place yesterday, with big names in the industry like Anna Wintour and Diane Von Furstenberg presenting the awards. The 2017 price went to Liberian-American designer Telfar Clemens of his autonomous label, Telfar, which launched in 2005. The designer recieved a $400,000 USD price, as well as a year long mentorship and valuable contacts. The two runner-ups recieved $150,000 USD each, and went to Ahlem Manai-Platt of Ahlem Eyewear and Becca McCharen-Tran of Chromat.

It goes without saying that these three names are ones to keep an eye on in the future.
