Follow Lauren Tsai to Her Favorite Places in Tokyo
The model-illustrator gives us a city guide on the Japanese capital.
It isn’t hard to figure out why Tokyo has been one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. A city that’s always on the go, the Japanese capital is blessed with rich traditional culture, day and night entertainment, forward-thinking fashion and not to mention great food. For the latest installment of our city guide series, we’ve tapped Tokyo It-girl Lauren Tsai to show us what the fast-paced city has to offer.
The model and illustrator, who rose to stardom after appearing on Netflix‘s Terrace House, has taken us to some of the must-visit spots of the city she now calls home. From the near 50-year-old eatery Tempura Ishihara to the futuristic VR Park in Shibuya, there’s a perfect mix of old and new that every tourist can appreciate. Lauren’s personal favorites, however, are the multi-story department store Laforet Harajuku as well as bookstore T-Site Daikanyama. Watch above to find out what’s good in Tokyo.
