American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger announced today that his #TommyNow Spring 2018 experiential runway show will debut during Milan Fashion Week.
Previously, the brand’s Fall 2016 “Tommy Pier” show premiered in New York City, while “Tommyland” took place in Los Angeles for Spring 2017. Last season, the brand presented its “Rock Circus” show in London.
The see now, buy now catwalk is set to include womenswear, menswear and also the Tommy x Gigi collaboration crafted with Gigi Hadid. The concept of shopping directly from the runway means that all looks will be available online in over 70 countries online and in-stores, as well as on social media, shoppable live stream, the image recognition commerce app TOMMYNOW SNAP and also the brand’s Facebook Messenger commerce bot.
Hilfiger shares in a statement why he selected Milan:
“It’s about the fusion of fashion, entertainment and pop culture with experiences, performances and inspiring interactions that are designed around our consumers. As one of the fashion capitals of the world, Milan is the perfect place to celebrate our next TOMMYNOW show.”
The runway event will take place at the end of Milan Fashion Week on February 25, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
