Kylie Jenner's Site Is Under Fire for Being Inaccessible to Blind Customers
Industry standards aren’t up to date in this case.
Antoinette Suchenko, a legally blind woman is suing Kylie Jenner Inc. She normally uses screen reader software to shop online, in the suit she shares that Jenner’s beauty site isn’t blind-friendly. Since the site isn’t universally compatible, industry standards aren’t up to date which is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. TMZ shares that the Kardashian family’s DASH Store website had a similar suit filed just last year.
Solving this issue swiftly by making the website compatible for shoppers with disabilities would be a step in the right direction for Kylie Cosmetics.
