MadeMe x X-Girl x Vans Is the Three-Way Collaboration of Your Dreams
Girls to the front.
Womenswear brands MadeMe and X-Girl have come together with cult brand Vans for a limited-edition collection of footwear and apparel. Paying homage to the past, the collection draws from Vans’ skate heritage as well as the three brands’ common denominator: the ’90s. The Vans ‘Wally’ silhouette was specifically chosen for this project, and marks the shoe’s first re-issuing since the mid-90s when it was first released. In addition the collection also includes apparel – a long-sleeve shirt with the collab logo front and center.
Representing a “Girls to the Front” approach, the capsule collection emphasizes the three brands’ female-first ethos. Talking to MadeMe designer Erin Magee, she emphasized the importance of female power within the industry as a whole.
“I hope to see more women’s ‘street’ brands owned by women be a presence and respected in the scene.”
The exclusive MadeMe x X-Girl x Vans collection will be available starting December 15. You can pick yours up at Opening Ceremony in the U.S., X-Girl and XLARGE stores in Japan, Worksout in Korea, as well as Yoho and Vans.com.cn in China. See more over at MadeMe’s Instagram and online.
