Move over Millennial Pink – This Is Color of the Year 2018

According to Pantone.

For those who’re fatigued by the millennial pink craze that took over most of 2017, here’s some good news for you. Pantone has just announced “Ultra Violet” as the Color of the Year for 2018.

Described by the color measurement company as ”a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade,” the amethyst-like hue evokes a sense of mysteriousness and originality. From Nike‘s Air VaporMax “Persian Violet” to Kylie Jenner‘s Purple eyeshadow palette, we’ve definitely been seeing this color a lot more during the second half of the year. Will the fashion industry embrace this new color trend? We’ll have to wait and find out.

Check out the official announcement below to learn more.
