Nike's Air Force 1 Upstep Low Gets a Fairytale Cinderella Moment
This “Glass Slipper” is fit for a princess.
Designed in 1982 by Bruce Kilgore, the Air Force 1 would later become one of the most iconic shoes to extend beyond the basketball courts and stride forward into the culture. Now 35 years later the sneaker is getting its Cinderella moment — sparkly blue sequins and all.
The Swoosh debuts the Air Force Upstep Low “Glass Slipper,” and it looks like it’s fit for a princess. The beloved silhouette gets a fairytale twist — coral and jade sequins are sprinkled in among the airy blue hue that glitters across the upper, which also hits tonally across the laces, tongue, heel tab, lateral and medial Swooshes. The sole is also icy blue with a classic white midsole perched above it.
Releasing at select Nike retail locations, you can find your own AF1 Upstep Low “Glass Slipper” starting February 15.
