Raf Simons Is Re-Thinking the Iconic Underwear in His First Calvin Klein Campaign

Raf Simons is about to present his inaugural Calvin Klein collection during NYFW on February 10. But prior to that he’s teased a new hint about what’s to come that starts with the new logo.
The new Spring 2017 underwear and denim campaign is here and it’s not the Calvin Klein ads you remember. It’s less sultry and moreso about juxtaposing the iconic with modern and contemporary art. Simons explained:
“It’s a celebration of Calvin Klein’s iconic underwear and jeans, acknowledging their status as Pop and showing them in the world of art.”
It was shot by Willy Vanderperre with largely unknown models. The ads showcase archival denim, a cotton tank top and men’s underwear with works by Andy Warhol and Sterling Ruby in the backdrop.
