The makeup industry has been a traditionally female-focused one, but Milk Makeup’s latest campaign for its Blur Stick proves makeup knows no gender. Produced with men’s beauty site Very Good Light, “Blur the Lines” introduces us to seven individuals who identify across a spectrum from woman to man, “alien” to “queen.” Each explores what gender means — or doesn’t mean — to them, and how femininity and masculinity are intertwined within themselves. “He and she are literally two and three letters, like very small words,” explains Avie Acosta. “And they only have so much power as you give them.”
