Selena Gomez Wants Girls to Know They're "Worth More Than an Instagram Like"

The superstar gets real about social media.

Selena Gomez is no doubt an Instagram queen — but she wants everyone to know they’re “worth more than an Instagram like.” The 24-year-old has become more outspoken about the pressures she faces along with dealing with her own mental health, and she recently visited young female students at a Los Angeles school to help empower them by getting real about her personal experiences. Despite having 162 million followers on Instagram and Twitter combined, Selena has observed social media silence and gone as far as deleting her apps for her own sake.
