In its new project entitled Magaluf!, Stockholm-based label Eytys teams up with artist duo IB Kamara and Kristin-Lee Moolman to document the infamous Mallorcan beach resort of the same name. Known for its boozy youth tourism, Magaluf serves as the perfect setting for Kamara and Moolman’s exploration of sexuality and self-expression. Challenging heteronormative attitudes, the photography series’ inaugural instalment captures a group of London club kids against a beach setting that emphasizes its banality more than its cheeriness.
Magaluf! is set to launch at the end of April with its first edition of 800. A limited edition of 25 will also be available, which will come complete with a handmade slipcase, archival pigment print, and will be signed and numbered by the artist. Aligned with the publication’s release, Eytys creative director Max Schiller will also be curating an exhibition with Moolman and Kamara’s collaborative work – the show will run from now until May 12 at Stockholm art space CFHILL.
