Won Hundred's 2017 Fall/Winter Lookbook Is Inspired by a Motocross Legend
Filled with plenty of dyed denim and nostalgic influences.
Riding on the popularity of the motocross aesthetic, Danish label Won Hundred has unveiled a 2017 fall/winter collection inspired by speedway motorcycling legend Ole Olsen. Winning the Speedway World Championship three times – in 1971, 1975 and 1978 – the Danish hero establishes a subtle presence throughout the range’s pieces. Hallmark to Won Hundred’s distinctive style, the collection perfectly balances a mix of both modern and nostalgic influences.
“The color denim line is inspired by old-school ’90s vintage shops. I love the idea of trashed and over-dyed denim where each piece is unique. The older the denim gets the better it looks,” founder and creative director Nikolaj Nielsen explains. “We have carefully over-dyed each garment in bright summer tones, and with its first stage of vintage washing, the color tones have a light stone washed look – giving the denim an authentic and summery feeling.”
