adidas Consortium Teams Up with Belgium's Avenue for His & Hers EQT Support 93/16
Reworking the sporty sneaker in true Scandinavian style.
adidas Consortium has teamed up with Belgium-based footwear boutique Avenue for a luxe rework of the EQT Support 93/16. Designed in tandem with Michael Hernandez of design studio Bruin Co. and Oregon’s High Street Gallery, Avenue founder Lina Fredriksson has created an upscale iteration of Three Stripes’ sporty silhouette. Inspired by the prolific work of the Antwerp Six – a group of renowned Belgium fashion designers – the resulting sneaker is a dynamic representation of true Scandinavian style. Constructed with an aniline leather upper, the EQT model also highlights woven embroideries, vegetable-dyed leather lining and co-branded insoles. Rounding off the look is the sneaker’s iconic BOOST midsole and adidas’ TORSION SYSTEM sole technology.
The Avenue x adidas EQT Support pack will be available in either a black or tan tonal colorway for $200 USD each at Avenue on May 27. A global release is set to take place at Consortium retailers the following week on June 3.
