With goth ice cream becoming all the rage on social media we knew it was only a matter of time before the rainbow latte trend got the Wednesday Addams treatment, and it turns out that time has come.

“Goth lattes” are popping up on social feeds across Australia and the UK and they get their spooky look from the activated charcoal they contain, which apparently has both detoxing and purifying elements. It may just be the next cool thing in a long line of photogenic beverages or a revolutionary drink with actual health benefits but either way, this dark drink is just as Instagrammable as its rainbow-hued antithesis.
