Swoon Over Gucci's Very Pink and Very Embroidered 2017 Pre-Fall Collection
The new women’s brand mascot is the planet Saturn, an angry cat and a dragon.
The Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 collection is very Gucci, which means vintage logos and embroidered appliqués on new selections are all game. The whimsical bohemian mood is exactly what turned the industry upside down when Alessandro Michele took the creative helm in 2015 – not to mention his attention to detail and pink.
The latest goods are a simultaneous nod to streetwear and the eccentric. For example, the vintage logo T-shirt that broke Instagram return in an updated tie-dye print and everyone’s beloved track pants are a Gucci-green with red stripe detailing on the side. Then there’s pastel pink sweatshirts embroidered with the planet Saturn – that, an angry cat and a dragon are the new symbols in the women’s collection.
Outerwear walks on the detailed side with one tweed coat embellished with pearls and blossoms on the lapel and another in rich rock-n-roll red velvet. The handbags this season are updated with a retro ’90s design – the classic GG Marmont is turned into a new belt bag.
Our latest Gucci shoot was photographed at a skate park in Venice Beach, Los Angeles to accent the collection’s kooky nature. The summertime cheer only make the animals and graphics stand out more. Browse the complete campaign above and drop by the Gucci’s webstore to stock on what will be summer’s must-haves.
