Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele has tapped British illustrator Angelica Hicks for its latest collaboration. This limited edition T-Shirt capsule is adorned with 11 of Hicks’ cheeky graphics. Gucci is set to produce only 100 tees for each design inspired by band Florence and the Machine and other popular social references. Each garment will also arrive with its own designated metal box for storage and safe-keeping.
News of the capsule was announced via a giant mural Hicks painted in Milan, reminiscent of GucciGhost‘s tagging of the Italian house’s NYC flagship. This line will release on May 25 and be sold at Gucci’s online shop. Take a look at the capsule in the gallery above.
The Milan #GucciArtWall by @angelicahicks is revealed on Largo La Foppa, in the city’s lively pedestrian district of Corso Garibaldi. Hand-painted on the wall: one of the 11 designs by the British illustrator that feature on the limited edition T-shirt collection launching on May 25 exclusively on Gucci.com in Europe and the US. #GucciGeeks #AlessandroMichele
