The Nike "Be True" Pack Is a Celebration of the LGBTQ Community
Just in time for Pride month.
Following its “Equality” collaboration with OFF-WHITE earlier this year, Nike is releasing a new “Be True” pack in an effort to continue spreading the message. Consisting of the Cortez and Flyknit Racer, this pack is more than just a new colorway – it’s is a symbol of support for the LGBTQ community.
The Nike Cortez has a white nylon and platinum suede upper and is brought to life by the rainbow stripe that sits across the tongue – which itself is pink on one shoe and blue on the other. The sneaker also features black Swoosh branding on the outer as well as a black midsole stripe and the iconic serrated Cortez sole. It comes complete with seven lace tag options to choose from – one for each color represented on the Pride flag and a silver option inscribed with the words “Be True.”
The Nike Flyknit Racer has a black and white breathable upper and features a rainbow Swoosh on the outer and a pink Swoosh on the opposite side. “Be True” branding on the tongue and a slick black and white midsole finish off the look.
The whole “Be True” collection will drop on June 1 at Nike but you can grab a preview of both these sneakers in the gallery above.
